I'm 15. i was wondering if its too late for me to start ballet lessons?

It%26#039;s never too late to start lessons. If you are asking if it%26#039;s too late to be a world renowned ballet dancer, the answer is probably yes.

It%26#039;s never too late, it may take you longer to advance, but if you%26#039;re really devoted then you can advance very quickly

its all about devotion
Reply:no ur still young enough

Reply:No you are a good time to do it but you need to work more if you want to advance fast.
Reply:No way, most studios have teen/adult classes from beginner to advance. Just look at Sabra who won So You Think You Can Dance, she only danced for about 4-5 years and she won a contest! Ballet is a good excercise that teaches disicpline and posture. go for it
Reply:It%26#039;s not too late to start ballet lessons, but it is considered too late for you to think about becoming a professional ballerina, if that is your intention in taking the lessons.
Reply:definitely not.

Sabra (the winner of SYTYCD Season 3) only danced for four years before she won the SYTYCD title. Granted, she%26#039;s done gymnastics before but its the same concept. It might take a tad longer than she took, but anyone can start learning at any time... its just a matter of how hard you%26#039;re willing to push yourself.

And plus, a few of my friends in college decided to audition for my college%26#039;s dance company with no dance background and picked it up rather quickly with a bit of hard work.
Reply:A man I know is at least 63 years old and he recently enrolled in a tap dancing class. I have been to a couple of his classes and I must say, he is one TERRIBLE tap dancer but he grins from ear to ear as long as he has those shoes on.

If you are starting in hopes of becoming a world renowned dancer, I think you may be a about 10 years too late. But if you want to have fun, get some exercise, lose some weight etc. then by all means; GO FOR IT!!!
